Center's Students Ready for Jury Duty |
On Saturday, April 17th, 2010 nearly twenty of the Center's students have jury duty of a different kind. They are ready to participate in the University of Houston Law Center's Blakely Advocacy Institute Final Trials. Final Trials are a culmination of a trial skills course at the Law Center. The law students are given a simulated case to prepare for trial. In the Final Trial, students try a case in a realistic setting, complete with judge and jury.
Several of the Center's students have signed on to serve on the mock jury. They hear the case, deliberate in open court, and give their final decision to the court.
This is just one more opportunity for the Center's students to gain knowledge and understanding, as well as to network within the legal profession. |
How do I know if the paralegal profession is right for me?
What about these short term programs I've seen advertised?
What are my prospects for employment after I graduate from the Center?
