Traditional or Online: Great options for both are available

A little history about how we deliver Paralegal classes

In less than a decade we have witnessed a dramatic change in the preference incoming students have for attending paralegal classes. Up until 2006, students could only choose between morning and evening classes. Morning students attended Monday-Thursday from 8:00AM-12:00PM, and evening students attended Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-10:00PM.

In 2006 we introduced a hybrid evening program, where students attended their first 4 courses as usual, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday on campus, and then attended just one night per week in person while completing the balance of their studies online. This provided evening students relief from the three night per week schedule, while still incorporating a live classroom experience into their schedules. This program was very popular.

As technology advanced and students began to not only accept online instruction, but in many cases prefer it, the need for 100% online options became more apparent. In 2013 we began offering our Paralegal Certificate 100% online using technology that allowed students to see and hear their instructors and classmates via the Internet. Now, the majority of our students choose to take their classes online.

While online classes are extremely popular, we still offer traditional classes. Students can take full time classes in the mornings attending Monday - Thursday from 9:00AM-1:00PM, or they can take Saturday classes from 9:00AM-3:30PM on campus with the remaining hours online. Students can complete their Paralegal Certificate in 6 months during the mornings, or 8 months Saturdays or Online.

Which delivery method is right for you?

For those who prefer a traditional classroom experience, nothing really beats full-time on campus classes. Our new campus and classrooms are modern and well equipped for meeting, lecture and collaboration. Take a look.

What about online? Not everyone has the ability to attend traditional campus based classes due to work or other obligations. We've worked hard to ensure that students taking paralegal classes online receive the same quality instruction as their traditional counterparts. How? By using the most advanced and intuitive learning systems available. Students at Center for Advanced Legal Studies attend online classes using Canvas LMS and Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. These industry leading technologies help bring the classroom to you.
